Why is the fund liquidating?
Amundi Funds has taken the decision in accordance with the Articles and Prospectus which state that the Board is authorised to liquidate a sub-fund once the value of the total assets of that sub-fund does not allow for it to be operated in an economically efficient matter.
Subscriptions from new investors will no longer be accepted after 31 January 2019.
Action to be taken for open-architecture policyholders?
Existing investors can continue to request subscription or redemption of their shares in or out of the fund until the dealing cut-off date on 28 February 2019. Should they wish to transfer out of the fund they should ensure a dealing instruction is submitted in advance of this date.
After the liquidation date the company will commence the orderly wind-down of its investments. For investors remaining in the fund, their return of investment will be based on a final valuation date anticipated on or about 15 March 2019.
Action to be taken for guided-architecture policyholders?
Existing investors can continue to invest in the fund until 25 February. On this date we will automatically switch investors, and redirect any regular premium allocation, into the JPM Korea Equity Fund.
We have written to our guided-architecture policyholders, or their appointed investment adviser, who are impacted by the liquidation informing them of the action we will be taking and their option for switching to a new fund if they prefer. Servicing financial advisers will receive a sample of the letter for their information.
You can view samples of the policyholder and investment adviser letters opposite along with the Amundi Funds notification.
